Compare and Contrast

Point of View-

Both books were in a girls point of view



Main Character-

In Avartar High the main character was very bold. While in Evermore the main character is more self contained and not ver outspoken.

Theme-

The theme of both book are that there is no perfect life and that life is full of different trials that we all need to over come.

Time Frame-

The time frame of both books are the same 21st century

Plot-

The plot in Avartar High is to help the guy stay safe, while in Evermore the girl is the one that needs to protect herself

Setting-

Both of their settings are mostly found at a high school or a house

Genre-

Nether of these stories can really happen in real life so they are both fictional books

Conflict-

In Avartar High the confict is between the guy and his brother. In Evermore there is the confict with Ever and Damens ex- girlfriend. They both have a conflict with their parents though.

Prequel?

I think that if i were to write a prequel to this book it would tell about the lives before Ever. I would like to know all the other ways that things happend between her and Damen. I would also like to know about Damens past and how he came to be the way he is and what his father was like. These things to me would really help me understand Damen a lot better.

Award Winner or Future Classic?

I don't that this book will be a future classic because it just doesn't have that feel that of a classic. i do however think that it could possibly be a award winner. It has that modern feel and is very addicting to read. I think that the best thing about this book is that it can some how relate to almost everyone who reads it.

Critique

This book was very entertaining and one that i didn't want to put down. I would have to give it a 3.5 out of 4 though because it did have some of those boring parts in the book. Also i thought that it was very predictable, which can be fun but very irritating at the same time.

Summary

This book is about this girl named Ever. She is the typical sixteen year old, until one tragic accident. This accident kills her mom, dad, sister, and dog. Ever since then she could see aruas, talk to her dead sister Riley, and can hear peoples thoughts. She attends high school and everyone there thinks that she is a freak. Then a guy named Damen Auguste comes into her life and when shes around him she doesn't feel like a freak. Their relationship is very confussing. She learns what he is and thinks that he is the freak, until she learns something about herself.
